Welcome back to the second part of this series, where I share with you some of the best GitHub repos that offer free resources for developers. In the first part, I introduced you to five awesome repos that covered topics such as data structures and algorithms, web development, machine learning, programming books, and project-based tutorials. If you missed it, you can check it out here. In this post, I’ll continue with five more GitHub repos that provide free resources for developers. These repos cover topics such as public APIs, coding interviews, developer roadmaps, computer science, and code snippets. Let’s get started!

6. Public APIs

APIs are essential for building modern web applications, as they allow you to access data and services from various sources. Public APIs is a collective list of free APIs for use in software and web development. You can find APIs for categories such as animals, business, health, sports, weather, and more. You can also filter the APIs by their authentication, HTTPS support, and CORS policy. This repo is a great resource for finding and using APIs for your projects.

7. Coding Interview University

If you’re preparing for a software engineering job interview, you need to brush up on your computer science fundamentals. Coding Interview University is a complete study plan that covers everything you need to know to ace the coding interview. The repo was created by John Washam, who used it to land a job at Amazon. The repo contains a checklist of topics, links to resources, tips, and practice questions. You can also join the community of learners who are following the same plan. This repo is a must-have for anyone who wants to become a software engineer.

8. Developer Roadmap

If you’re wondering what skills and technologies you need to learn to become a successful developer, you need to check out Developer Roadmap. This repo contains interactive roadmaps, guides, and other educational content to help developers grow in their careers. You can find roadmaps for front-end, back-end, devops, and full-stack development, as well as guides for learning programming languages, frameworks, tools, and best practices. This repo is a valuable resource for planning and tracking your learning journey.

9. Computer Science

If you want to get a complete education in computer science using online materials, you need to follow Computer Science. This repo is a curriculum that covers the core concepts and skills of computer science, such as programming, data structures, algorithms, databases, operating systems, networking, and more. The repo uses free courses from reputable universities and platforms, such as MIT, Stanford, Coursera, and edX. The repo also has a community of fellow learners who support each other. This repo is ideal for those who want a proper, well-rounded grounding in computer science.

10. 30 Seconds of Code

If you’re looking for some short and useful code snippets for your development needs, you need to bookmark 30 Seconds of Code. This repo contains hundreds of code snippets that you can understand and use in 30 seconds or less. The snippets are written in JavaScript, but you can also find snippets for other languages, such as Python, C#, Ruby, and more. The snippets cover topics such as arrays, strings, dates, math, objects, and more. This repo is perfect for saving time and learning new tricks.

That’s it for the second part of this series. I hope you enjoyed these GitHub repos and found them useful for your development goals. In the next and final part of this series, I’ll share with you five more GitHub repos that offer free resources for developers. Stay tuned and happy coding! 😊
