In the 2023–2024 season, I applied to two Master’s programs at the Lappeenranta University of Technology, Finland and got admission.

Motivation Letter

Dear Admissions Committee,

I am writing to apply for two Master’s degrees in Software Engineering in the academic year 2023–2024, in which I am interested. The Lappeenranta University of Technology is an excellent choice for me and my future profession. Attending this university will assist me in achieving my goal of becoming a Software Engineer with remarkable expertise.

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering since I have always been interested in computers and computer-related technology. While studying computer science, I learned how computer technology advances and enhances human existence. I always enjoyed my studies as I followed my passion during my undergraduate program. Now, I am much more excited to learn about software engineering. I also performed a lot of charity work, did a bunch of events, workshops, programming contests, and hackathons, and took many professional courses. These extracurricular activities facilitated the development of my communication skills and served me well in my working life. My teachers and peers always saw me as proactive; they trusted and viewed me as a potential leader and successor. After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I worked as a Software Developer (Intern) for a software firm. I had the opportunity to work closely with other programmers and interact with clients. My objective was to learn about user demand and establish a long-term solution, and I was primarily successful. Following that, I worked for a transnational company for more than a year. Working on various projects using a range of technologies had learned a great deal about software development. I want to gain a more theoretical and practical understanding of software engineering through research.

It will be a fantastic chance to pursue my Master’s in Software Engineering at the Lappeenranta University of Technology, one of Finland’s top universities with excellent research facilities and other possibilities. I have applied to two programs in the Software Engineering field. The first is the Master’s Program in Software Engineering and Digital Transformation. This program is well-managed, combining architectures and architectural patterns, data-intensive software systems, software maintenance, and quality assurance in software development. In addition, many other courses sparked my curiosity after reviewing the offered courses. In this program, I aim to specialize in Software Engineering. However, the second program is the Master’s Program in Software Product Management and Business. I like this program because it aims to design and develop digital services based on business content related to my current job. In addition, this program combines contemporary software platforms and ecosystems, business, and software engineering. By studying in this program, I could work as a software product manager in my future carrier. Both these programs are related to my previous study and my future carrier goal. Furthermore, one of the key reasons for choosing Lappeenranta is its gorgeous natural surroundings and unique culture.

My goal is to see myself after five years as an expert Software Engineer through gaining professional experience. After graduation, I will return to my country and join a company to express my skills and proficiency from Finland. I want to help our nation develop a digital solution to support our vast people. ‘Digital Bangladesh’ is the slogan of our government to make our country develop in all sectors by providing digital facilities and making all of them easy to access for the people. To do that, we need many specialists in software development to create valuable solutions. Though we have a lot of human resources, we need more skilled people. Having an advanced understanding from these courses, I will increase my coding, design, and development skills. These could help me contribute to my country by providing solutions.

Moreover, I would also be able to create a company where I can train other people and provide job facilities. I know this journey will take work. Still, I am optimistic about succeeding with a positive attitude and a decisive goal.

However, considering my previous education, work experience, achievements, and future goal, I am an eligible candidate to gain a 100% scholarship. This scholarship will assist me in studying and achieving my carrier goal. Also, this program will help me contribute to my family and nation in the long run.

Finally, the Lappeenranta University of Technology course relates to my past studies and profession. As a result, I’d like to be a viable candidate for this specific course.
