For the last few months, I have been preparing for the IELTS exam. There are four parts to the exam. One is Speaking. In this section, I have to speak fluently. But, my English speaking is not so good and I feel uncomfortable speaking English. I tried to speak to my friends in English but failed to continue speaking, because when I got stuck at some point and I started to talk in my mother language. To get a good score in the exam I have to solve this problem and have to speak regularly with someone.

As this is a pandemic time, most of my time is spent at home with my smartphone. So, one day I pick my phone and start searching for any application in the play store that can help me to improve my speaking. After trying many apps, I found an interesting application called English Call. In this application, you can connect people and can talk to them randomly selected by the application.

English Call
English Call

Mostly I found people from India. They are very friendly and the majority install this application to practice and improve their English. Every day, I started talking to people and some became friends. But the problem is when I was talking to someone suddenly the call dropped or a connection problem occur. And the level of English was not helping me to improve my grammatical range and lexical resources. There were many functional problems in that app that I found and after using it for many days I started searching again for some good apps.

After a while, using different other applications found in the play store I got 2 more decent applications that can help me to practice my English.

The second application is identical to English Call and this one is called Speak English. The reason why I am saying that this one is alike English call is that 80% of the people I found were from India and the call drop problem you will find here but not that much. In addition, this application will get some more features like you can call the last caller and have a call list. But, the most advanced features are paid. But, Using the free feature you can call daily for one hour and practice. One feature I like is there are three levels of practice. Like, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advance. After installing the app you have to complete 20 successful calls to unlock the intermediate level and more than 20 calls to rich in the advanced level. By paying the subscription you can unlock all the levels.

Overall, in a nutshell, I will recommend everyone can start with his application with a free subscription and practice regularly.

The last application that I will talk about is called GoodNight. I like this app very much and I have been using this application for more than 2 months. These apps don’t have many problems to use and It has some good features that are free, like recall and message to whom you talked and got matched. This app will give you 7 minutes after connecting with someone and after the successful conversion, the app gives you an option to match with another person. If both agree to match then only both can recall and message each other. You will find people all over the world, not only in India. So, To talk with good speakers this app is good to use. But it is not dedicated for those who want to improve their English only, but also for those who want to make new friends. I made some friends who are connected now on my Instagram. So, you can also make friends with people living in different countries, just try to behave well with them.

So, Install any of them and start practicing or making friends. Let me know your experience.

Note: If you have any questions or find any mistakes, let me know, please.
